BIKASH relies entirely on private donations for it’s non-supported programmes i.e. the Centre for Special Education and its Community Based Rehabilitation Programme. These are much needed, but costly schemes, which are currently run on a shoestring and the goodwill of a number of committed volunteers. With your help these programmes and others can become permanently established and sustainable services for the disabled youngsters of the backward district of Bankura.

Greetings Cards for sale
Apart from a few fundraising drivers like its Annual Function held every Winter and the Souvenir Programme, BIKASH has few opportunities to increase its funds. However, it is trying to change all that. By following the example of many of the self help groups with whom it works BIKASH plans to create income-generating activities for itself. One such initiative is the sale of printed Greetings Cards using designs painted by the talented students in their Special School. Others on a smaller scale, due to their handmade quality, are the sale of Jute products such as table mats and bags, and painted vases, all of which are made by disabled students.

Select from a range of eight cards sized 4.5” x 7”, each created from a hand-painted design and printed on quality white card with matching envelope. Choose to have cards pre-printed with “Seasons Greetings”, or left blank for your own message.
