BIKASH reaches out to help disabled children and underprivileged women in the rural backwaters of Bankura district, West Bengal, extending the indomitable spirit of charitable works established with children in Calcutta (Kolkata),

The aim is simple, to develop the most vulnerable sections of society to achieve their full potential.

Originally started as a special education centre for disabled children in this backward area, Bikash has expanded into field work to support children and women in outlying villages. It has since become the focus behind the establishment of over 650 women’s self-help groups that are trained on health, nutrition and economic sustainability.
